Share a truly unique experience with a loved one, a weekend of deep connection and calm, through meditation, gentle yoga, maybe a massage in front of the fireplace... and periods of delicious silence to absorb it all.

We have partnered with one of our very favourite venues "Royston House" to host these special experiences. 

Perched on a hill, the sprawling homestead has a stunning 180 degree view of the McPherson range in the Scenic Rim (approx 1.5hr from Brisbane and the Gold Coast) 

 

What is a "Semi-Silent" Retreat?

If you have ever been to a yoga class you might be familiar with that blissful feeling of deep relaxation and calm at the end. Throughout your weekend this state will be extended for you to enjoy it a bit longer. For eg, an afternoon class might finish at 5.30pm and then there is silence until the 6.30pm dinner-bell. So after the class you can continue feeling into that meditative state whilst watching a stunning sunset or sitting in front of the roaring fire in the lounge room.

Join Kara Swift for a weekend at a stunning 450 acre property/horse-stud in the Scenic Rim near Rathdowney (approx 1.5hr from Brisbane and the GC) 

An intimate retreat for you and only 6 others. 

Got a "big birthday" or other special event coming up? Have a private retreat  just for your group of 7 -10 guests (you can request it be a semi-silent retreat and you can also have a cheeky drink in the evenings if you like :) Please email us for more info and available dates for a private retreat. 

Inclusions

🌱 2 nights accommodation in a gorgeous homestead with wrap-around verandah, fireplace and many special "nooks" for you to enjoy all to yourself

🌱 All meals - healthy and yummy vegetarian meals made with a lot of love! Tea/plunger coffee.

🌱 Meditation instruction & practice with Kara. Deepen your practice or if you are a beginner - learn very simple and effective techniques and be confident to continue with your practice when you go home. 

🌱 Yoga classes on the deck with stunning views out to the mountain range (or in the lounge in front of the fireplace depending on the weather). Movement and breath will connect you to your heart and your calm centre again. 

🌱 Be pampered with an indulgent massage (additional cost)

🌱 Connect with some of the 60+ horses on the property. These majestic creatures can teach us a lot about slowing down and being present. 

🌱 Bedlinen, pillows, towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel are provided

🌱 A non-refundable deposit of $200 will secure your spot. Here are our terms & conditions. 

🌱 Arrival/Departure times: Arrive between 3pm - 4pm and retreat finishes just after lunch on the last day.  

Because of the nature of these retreats we can't accept late arrivals so that we can all commence the schedule at the same time.

Fill Your Cup...

Do you feel like you spend so much time looking after others and not enough time caring for YOU? 

Before my life as a retreat and yoga studio owner, I founded and ran for 15 years, 3 Day Spas on the Gold Coast.  My specialty was bringing groups together for very indulgent Pamper Days...and for the last 8 years I have taken "self-indulgence" to a whole other level with weekend immersions into silence, self-reflection and connection. Giving people the space and tools to slow down in this so very fast paced world. 

Teaching people how to easily meditate is a very great love of mine and the results are life-changing for so many people. I look forward to going on a journey into silence with you!

FLOW OF THE DAY

Every aspect of your weekend is meticulously designed to take you on a journey, from an outward focussed and busy state of being, to a balanced state of inner reflection and calm. 

Morning

Start your day with some gentle seated stretches and meditation practice with
Kara, on the verandah of the homestead...with views off to the mountain range. 

A simple, leisurely breakfast is followed by some free time ..you might even feel like crawling back into your cosy bed for a while - just because you can! :)

A meditation workshop before lunch will equip you and motivate you to bring these powerful practices back into your daily life.

Afternoon

You might like to indulge in a nap, read a book under a tree, enjoy an indulgent massage or wander the grounds and pat some of the 50 plus horses. 

We will then come together for a deliciously slow and restorative "yin yoga class". 

After the yin class you might find a spot to curl up on the sweeping verandah to meditate or enjoy the magnificent view of the sun setting behind the mountains. With no phones, human sounds or chatter to draw you away from your reverie. 

Evening

After you enjoy dinner in front of the roaring fire-place we'll come together around the outside fire-pit for some deeply relaxing practices to prepare you for a deep slumber. 

After this you might like to star-gaze for a while - whilst enjoying that blissful peace that comes from an entire day of disconnection from devices and a busy life & reconnection to your nature, your heart and your calm.
